For pity's sake, can't we get the folks at least some water? Some food? Please. The misery of the people is horrifying. And desperate. I feel so helpless....
I recall the RESOUNDING criticism of the Japanese government's anemic emergency response to the 1995 Kobe earthquake disaster. Made quite an outcry on *this* side of the Pacific, by our own officials, of how mismanaged it was. Who remembers that?
